B5990TS Motorized Rotary Stage
Compact 1.65″ Motorized Rotary Stage for loads up to 50 lbs.
Velmex Motorized Rotating Tables deliver precise, continuous rotating motion for scanning, assembly, testing and production. They are a convenient, accurate method of quickly positioning or rotating a payload.
The Rotary Tables use a rugged worm and gear drive design with a central rotating ball bearing to turn the payload. These motorized tables are also available in A59 Series manually operated versions.
The A48/B48 models and the A59/B59 series of Rotary Tables have a hollow spindle or open aperture in the center for optical applications.
How the Velmex B59 Series Motorized Rotary Tables work
This video shows a Velmex custom positioning solution. This positioning system includes Velmex XSlide Linear Stages along with a Velmex B5990 motorized rotary table performing 4 axis – 3D Raster Scan. The entire system is controlled by two Velmex VXM Microstepping Controllers.

B5990TS will mount directly to UniSlide Series A40, UniSlide Series B40, or UniSlide Series A25 4″ Sliders. This Rotary Stage is also adaptable to Velmex XSlide using an Adapter Plate. For mounting the B59 Series to BiSlide Assemblies use the MSPP-4 Adapter Plate

Many Velmex Products come standard with a brushed aluminum finish. Optional finishes including Black Anodizing are available.
Applications and Examples
Typical applications for Velmex Rotary Tables include mounting and rotation of test specimens, cameras, transducers, sensors, mirrors and other components. The tables can also be used to tilt and pan.
Note: the example displayed may be a custom configuration, designed to the customer’s specifications; and not offered as a standard product. Custom configurations could contain custom, externally-fabricated components.
XSlide XZ Theta Scanning with Camera Focused on a Fixed Point
In this example scan the XSlide traverses 8 inches in the X direction while the B5990 Rotary Table keeps the camera focused on the target. Nema 23 and Nema 17 stepper motor control is done with our VXM-1-1 simultaneous motion controllers.
